MaleSurvivor: National Organization against Male Sexual Victimization is the largest organization for men and boys who have been sexually victimized.

MaleSurvivor has a great Consumer's Guide for Therapist Shopping It is a must-read if you are looking for a therapist.

SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests ) is a self-help organization of men and women who were sexually abused by spiritual elders (Catholic priests, brothers, nuns, ministers, teachers, etc). Members find healing and empowerment by joining with other survivors.

Jim Hopper is a research Associate at the Boston University School of Medicine.  His web page has some great information on the effects of psychological trauma, including information about the effects of trauma on memory.

The Next Step Counseling and Training is Mike Lew's counseling center in Brookline, MA. Mike is author of the famous Victims No Longer recovery book, and the newer Leaping Upon the Mountains which features insights and thoughts from male survivors around the world

Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers is a non-profit, interdisciplinary organization. ATSA was founded to foster research, facilitate information exchange, further professional education and provide for the advancement of professional standards and practices in the field of sex offender evaluation and treatment. ATSA is an international organization focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through effective management of sex offenders.  This site has some great position papers on the treatment of sexual offenders.

PTSD Support Services is a web site specifically for people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and its associated anxiety problems.  It is very good a defining PTSD and providing information about it.

The American Boychoir School is an example of institutional abuse at a boy's boarding school in Princeton, New Jersey. The New York Times and ABCs Nightline described decades of alleged abuse by staff and teachers. Time Magazine wrote that some of the most heartbreaking allegations of sexual abuse are coming from former students at the American Boychoir. www.americanboyschoir.com is a site designed in cooperation with several alumni of the school who were victims of sexual abuse.

Sidran is a nonprofit charitable organization devoted to education, advocacy, and research to benefit people who are suffering from injuries of traumatic stress. Whether caused by family violence, crime, disasters, war, or any other overwhelming experience, the disabling effects of trauma can be overcome with understanding, support, and appropriate treatment.

Ben's Safe Place is a poignant, moving site by a young German survivor. He shares his story in a way you will never forget. Young male survivors should check out this impressive site.

CAVNET - Communities Against Violence Network - is working to end violence against women, facilitating collaboration with others around the world. Guided by some of the top experts and advocates in the world, CAVNET has created an international virtual community on the Internet, bringing together law enforcement, judges, social workers, educators, health care professionals, clergy, lawyers, experts, advocates, advocacy organizations, survivors, and marginalized groups, providing a gender-based perspective in addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, stalking, youth violence, female genital mutilation, incest, youth violence, and violence against people with disabilities, among other issues.

ASRIAN-HOST is a site intended for Asarians. The term "ASARian" literally means: frequenter of the USENET newsgroup ASAR: Alt.Sexual.Abuse.Recovery, but has since become a widely accepted term for survivors of sexual abuse in general.

Donald D'Haene is the author of a new memoir of father-son incest.

The Lunchbox Press offers a great book on brother-sister incest.  Many men and women I see were molested by their brothers.

Sharing Serenity is a web page with personal stories of survival.

Pieces of Me is the name of another book on incest, and has an excerpt to read.  The site also offers other great resources for survivors.

xris.com is a personal web site offering survivor resources and other information including a memorial for the owner's lost friends, as well as information on GLBT sexual abuse survivors.

The Men's Health Network was created to address the growing men's health crisis. It is "an informational and educational organization recognizing men's health as a specific social concern." This site has a comprehensive listing of numerous resources for men's health in general.

The Early Sexualization of Males is a very good web site by an academic on male sexual abuse.

Men Can Stop Rape empowers male youth and the institutions that serve them to work as allies with women in preventing rape and other forms of men's violence. Through awareness-to-action education and community organizing, we promote gender equity and build men's capacity to be strong without being violent.

The Men's Issues Page is a very good site covering the men's movement.

Recovery Web has links to resources on recovery from addictions, sexual abuse, abusive relationships, and more.

The Survivor's Page is dedicated to all survivors of sexual abuse and rape. It is full of resources, including survivor stories.

Healthy Place is a mental health site with an excellent section on abuse.
